New Weider Home Gyms Pushes Out The Older Weider 8510 Exercise Gym
The older Weider 8510 exercise gym can still be found on classified ad sites such as Craigs List, but it is no longer one of the home gyms pushed by the Joe Weider brand.
If you decide to buy a refurbished or second hand machine, you need to ensure that you get the total package, including the instruction manual. As with other similar machines, the Weider 8510 exercise gym can be very tough to put together at home without the manual.
You will also need the full replacement parts list that is in the manual.
One of the best features of the Weider 8510 5-station home gym is the pulley system’s 2 to 1 resistance ratio. This means that the cables travel through the pulleys in such a way that the weight doubles in resistance, in effect halving the weight stacks required for the desired results. You can get a total body workout at home with this machine.
Weider home gyms are known for their robust construction and heavy duty steel frames for reliable performance. These weight systems come in the customary dark gray and black colors. The easy-to-clean seat is finished with a sweat resistant vinyl cushion. The dimensions are in the region of 48″ (W) x 53″ (H).
You can do a full range of exercises, from hamstring curls to leg extensions, leg curls, rowing and arm curls. The gym also includes a military press, butterfly press and the expected high pulley.
The newer weight systems by this brand include the Weider Crossbow, Weider Pro 4300 Home Gym and the Weider Pro 9635 weight system.
If you purchase a second-hand Weider 8510 exercise gym, you will of course not get the usual reassuring warranty.
