CPSC Recalls Cybex Machines. Do You Have One Of These Cybex Treadmills?

When it comes to exercise and home gym equipment, Cybex machines have a solid reputation. However, even the best of brands can sometimes develop a hiccup. According to the website of the Consumer Product Safety Commission, cpsc.gov, a voluntary recall of certain Cybex treadmills has just been announced.

This became necessary after consumer complaints that the treadmills sometimes increase speed unexpectedly. Apparently some fitness fans have even fallen and injured themselves. Consumers have been warned to stop using these particular Cybex machines immediately.

The treadmills involved are the Cybex 445T, 455T, 530T, 450T, 500T, 515T, and 520T models. They were sold through Cybex stores and dealers between 2001 and 2008. The company will supply consumers with a free replacement fuse that should solve the problem.

Check your Cybex machine today to be on the safe side.
